DEATH & MONEY — Solo exhibition by Santiago Sierra
From 20 September to 20 December 2026, Brutus Art Space presents DEATH & MONEY by Santiago Sierra, the largest solo exhibition of the artist's work ever presented in the Netherlands.
Curated by A/POLITICAL, the exhibition brings together existing and newly commissioned works that expose the ongoing geopolitical entanglement of war and profit.
About the exhibition
Santiago Sierra's work examines labour, inequality, state power and economic exploitation. In DEATH & MONEY, works addressing both topics are placed in dialogue with one another, creating connections across Brutus's industrial spaces.
Rather than offering easy answers, the exhibition asks us to look at the systems we are part of and at the people who bear their consequences. What happens to the citizens when power and wealth become increasingly concentrated? And what responsibility do we bear when we are part of the systems that sustain them?
